6th August 2019 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F6-F7 Surf / Sea State: waves Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 16.4 Weather: sun and showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: After morning session in Llanfairfechan on water in Rhosneigr from 4 until almost 6. Waves were bit choppy to start then quickly smoothed out. Best ride yet DTL on head high wave and a few smaller ones and long back ride on logo wave. Wind gusty and caught out a few times in breaking waves in lulls.. Wore GPS and maxed around 20kknots, and lot of time 15-18 knots, surprised such small geat goes well so slowly - feels much faster as lots happening. Mis-timed a jump over steep wave which had thinner lip than expeced and did half a forward i.e. face planted with force. Good fun for almost 2 hours, though some short sit outs waiting for wind to steady. Loved it. |
